a thought about photos & facebook, myspace...
(please look & enjoy - ideally after reading this - 2 c the event u r looking 4)
ok, here's a thought which might not make me popular with facebook / myspace / flickr / etc posters. i like the photos i take... and so do many other people. (which is good, i wouldn't be writing this if that wasn't the case). i am very proud of that and it makes me happy when you guys like what i do so much that you want to have it too. as many of you know i am also generous (or so i think) in sharing my photos online and not having any copy protection for these images. everyone can take as many as they want for their PRIVATE use, download to a computer, print them at walgreen's... i often share high resolution originals when people ask for them individually for - again, sorry 2 b repetitive - PRIVATE use. "Private" as opposed to "public".
where i draw the line and ask you to understand and not copy and paste them to your own facebook or similar profiles is where i find many of my photos in albums where photos uploaded supposedly were created by someone else than myself (i don't want to invoke the fact that facebook asks people uploading pics if they have permission to do so...).
so, maybe i can ask you to take photos just for your private use and post links to coolpoolevents.com and name of the event to find those cool photos you want to share... if you email me i will always happily give you a direct link to any specific event. and, last, but not least: feel free to grab a photo of yourself you like and use it on facebook / myspace / jdate / match / etc as your profile photo. in that case just please make sure to send me an email that you are doing so and i will most certainly agree to it. ok?
